Regular Ministry Teams

  • Facility Maintenance Team - You will work in conjunction with the Trustees to upkeep and maintain our facilities. The team will serve at least one Saturday a quarter and will be available if a trustee needs assistance in an emergency.

  • Homebound Ministry Team - You will serve by ministering to our homebound members a a regular basis. This can be done through visiting, phone calls, letters, notes, cards. etc.

  • Greeter Ministry Team - The greeters will serve on a rotational basis before Sunday School and/or worship to welcome members and guests at the door, welcoming them with the love of Christ. You will also assist guests in knowing where they need to go for Sunday School, nursery, worship, etc.

  • Nursery Ministry Team - You will serve on a rotational basis, typically once a month, keeping nursery with other volunteers during the worship service.

  • Outreach Ministry Team - You will serve on an as-needed basis whenever the team is made aware of needs/service projects in the community. We will use our gifts/time to serve others to build a bridge for the Gospel.

  • Media Ministry Team - You will serve on a rotational basis by running the sound board or running PowerPoint for the projector screen. Trying will be provided.

  • Security Ministry Team - You will serve on a rotational basis during Sunday School and/or the morning worship service by helping keep our church safe. Only those willing and comfortable to carry a gun need to serve.

  • Ushers - The ushers will take up the morning offering during the AM worship service.

Junior Ministry Teams

  • Jr. Greeter - This ministry is reserved for children who are members. They will serve alongside the Greeter Ministry Team before the worship services, making sure that all children are greeted and that all children receive a children's bulletin.

  • Jr. Usher - This ministry is reserved for children who are members. They will serve alongside the Ushers during the worship services and help the men pass the offering plates.

  • Outreach Ministry Team - The junior members will serve alongside our Outreach Ministry Team during their service projects.

Other Ministry Opportunities

  • Concessions Ministry - You will serve by working concession stands at various local sporting events as a means of showing love to our families, so that they can watch their children instead of having to work the concession stand. This is a new and exciting ministry designed to show our community how much we love and care for them!

  • Bereavement Ministry - You will serve by helping prepare meals for families following funerals. Even if you are not available to be present, you can still sign up to prepare food.

  • New Mom's Ministry - When members of our church or members of the community give birth, you will be available to prepare and deliver a meal to the family.

  • Associational Backpack Ministry - The Clay Ministerial Association has now taken over our Backpack Ministry. You will serve on Thursday nights by helping to fill the bags of food.

  • Worship Service Special Music - You will serve on a rotational basis, preparing the hearts of the congregation for the preaching of the Word through a song of your choice.

  • Kitchen Fellowship Worker - When our church has churchwidje fellowships, you will be available to help serve in the kitchen.

  • Wednesday Night Kitchen Worker - You will be available to help cook/serve/clean (whatever the leader needs) for our Wednesday night suppers.

  • Pianist - You will serve our church by playing piano during our worship services.

  • Organist - You will serve our church by playing the organ during our worship services.

  • Children’s Advisory Team - Work in conjunction with Andrea Rash to help make plans for the children’s ministry.

  • Griefshare - Assist our Griefshare grief support group facilitator in setting up, promotion, and fill-in for the full-time facilitator as needed.

  • Common Garments Extension - Be a liaison when a there is a need in our community for clothing needs.

Teaching Ministries

  • Adult Sunday School Teacher - You will weekly teach a Sunday School class.

  • Adult Sunday School Substitute - You will be available to fill in for other Sunday School teachers when they are absent.

  • Youth Sunday School Teacher - You will work in conjunction with the Youth Pastor to teach on Sunday mornings.

  • Youth Sunday School Substitute - You will serve by teaching when any youth teacher is absent.

  • Children Sunday School Teacher - You will teach a children's or preschool class each week. Hopefully, you will have a helper there to assist you.

  • Children Sunday School Helper - This position is for the member who desires to help with Children's Sunday School but doesn't feel ready yet to teach. You can weekly assist the teacher any way necessary.

  • Children Sunday School Substitute - You will be available to fill in for any children's or preschool teacher when they are absent.

  • Nursery Sunday School Teacher - You will serve our church and our families by keeping and loving on children and babies during Sunday School so that our families can learn and build relationships.

  • Nursery Sunday School Substitute - You will be available to fill in for any nursery teacher when they are absent.

  • Wednesday Night (Children In Action) Teacher - You will be a weekly teacher for our Wednesday night program.

  • Wednesday Night Children's Helper - This is for the member who desires to help on a Wednesday night but doesn't feel ready yet to teach. You can weekly assist the teacher any way necessary.

  • Wednesday Night Nursery Teacher - You will serve on a weekly basis by keeping nursery for the children of our adult workers or Bible study participants.

  • Vacation Bible School Teacher - You will be willing to lead one of the classes and teach one of the class Bible studies during VBS week.

  • Vacation Bible School Classroom/Rotation Helper - This is for the member who desires to help with a class or rotation but does not feel ready yet to teach. You will assist the teacher/leader any way necessary.

  • Vacation Bible School Rotation Leader - You will be leading one of the rotations during VBS (crafts, missions, music, recreation, snacks).

  • Children's Church Teacher - On a rotational basis, you will teach children 4 years - First Grade during the sermon time of the service.
