At FBC Clay we believe that God created Christians to need one another and to live as a community. We believe that it is vital for every believer to not merely attend worship service but to belong to a small group as well. Group settings are the places where significant life change occurs and are where real life issues are discussed. This is the environment where we celebrate the successes and milestones in life. It is where we comfort and encourage one another during the tough and disappointing times. It is where we build our relationships. It is a place to be encouraged, equipped and challenged to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

We provide two different options for small groups: Sunday School and Community Group.

  • Fit for the King Class (Women Primarily 60 & Younger)

Community Group

Our aim is to start community groups again. This is an opportunity for families and individuals to gather in a less formal setting. We meet in a member’s home each Sunday night at 6:00. We fellowship over a meal and then study a lesson together. Families bring their children and we all share in the fellowship time together.

Currently, most of those attending are young adult families, but the community group is open to anyone interested. Our hope and prayer is that this model of small group can grow and we can branch out, having numerous groups meeting throughout the community group.

Many who attend Community Group attend as an extension of their Sunday School. Many are in the same class together and view this as an extra opportunity to fellowship, study, and grow. Others attend because they cannot attend Sunday School for various reasons, whether that be work or because they are teaching a children’s class on Sunday morning. Regardless, this is a great opportunity to build relationships within the church and grow your faith in Christ.
